In the tribal areas of the Indian state of Odisha, people live close to nature and far away from urban infrastructures. Usthi’s health projects focus on the Scheduled Tribes of Odisha who are severely discriminated against and marginalised. In order to assure medical care for these people too, Usthi has built up a comprehensive health care system that currently covers an area the size of the Canton of Zurich.
