Asia has seen an increase in human trafficking for several years. India too has not been spared from this problem. Hyderabad is considered one of the centres of human trafficking. It was obvious to Usthi that action here was urgent. Street children are therefore offered protection in Usthi children’s homes. Victims of abuse find refuge in women’s shelters. And prevention campaign should also protect against further victims.
