Usthi’s goal is to support young people in building a self-determined and dignified life. To this end, Usthi specifically supports disadvantaged children and young people – regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion or language – and gives them access to schooling, professional skills training and health care.
The Foundation consists of the Board of Trustees and the Usthi Team. Usthi is under federal supervision and has been awarded the ZEWO seal of approval for the effective use of donations. The organisation is financed entirely by donations from private individuals and public bodies, parishes and private institutions. Usthi is further supported by associations such as Rotary, Usitawi and Lions.
In India, we work with four local partners in 13 projects with a total of over 350 local employees. In Nepal, we are implementing an education project with one partner organisation.
